This is the first magazine front cover that i am going to look at and analyse. It is Billboard magazine which looks at the newest chart music. As you can see the masthead at tthe top of the page is big and almost covers the entire length of the page. By doing this Billboard have made the title stand out even thought hey are trying to blend it in with the background they have behing. The main picture is of Flo Rida. He takes up most of the page and his head also covers part of the masthead. This is showing that he is the main story within the issue. Also down the right there is a subheading and a little teaser on why he is on the front and what the story is about. Beneath that their is also another little bit which explains other features in the issue but it isn't big so it doesnt pull the attention away from the main focus. There are also subheading on the left with other stories that are inside. There is a lure within a circle. This drags the audience and interests them on what they are going to find inside. Above the masthead their is a slogan. This slogan tells the audience what the magazine is about in a short piece. Finally the barcode, price, and month of release are on the bottom. These are on most magazines.

The second magazine front cover i am going to do is of Vibe magazine. This magazine looks at the chart music also but has other features associated as well. Looking at the front cover i can see once again that the picture of 50 Cent is straight down the middle. His head also covers part of the masthead to get the picture in. The masthead covers the whole top part of the page. This is so that it can be scene from a long distance and recognised. It is also so you can recognise what the name of the magazine is behind the pictures head. Down the side we have the main sub heading on the left. This is associated with the picture down the middle. The we have a little caption/teaser telling us a little about the story inside. Then we have others stories on the left below the main subheading and others on the right. These stories are their so the audience know what else is in side but it doesn't distract them away from the main story down the middle.
