Ideology

Ideology is the explanation of words/ideas behind media texts. This means that the words within a text must be able to show an audience what the main ideologies are within a piece.

For my school newsletter i want to make may ideology clear for my audience to see. So i plan to put my ideology as the school being modern and up to date. To do this i will have to put pictures of new technology and students using this technology in lessons. These must be the likes of the ipads, smart boards, laptops, etc. These pieces of technology must be used by students and teachers alike. Showing this within a picture will show that the kids and students are up to date with technology and being able to grasp new skills.

Another ideology i want to portray within my newsletter is that the results we have just had have been the best ever showing the gcse results and the A level results. This is done so that i can show the audience that this school is on the way up and that having the new modern equipment can continue to make these results continue to rise year in year out. To do this i could do a picture of the results and i could do a picture of a student extremely happy with the results they have just got. This will also show the seriousness within the school to get the right results but it will also show that the students will be happy at the end of it.

One other ideology i could display is that we care for the students. Being able to show the audience that deyes will look after their kids through the thick and thin and will dedicate their time and effort always for them to achieve the best they can. A picture to show this would be of a teacher showing and guiding a student how to do something or a picture of a student happy with a result and them saying thank you to a teacher.
