Deyes High Newsletter Analysis

For my preminary task I am going to create a newsletter but to do this i am going to research an existing newsletter which is the Deyes high school newsletter.
The colours they have used on the newsletter is blue and red. This is beacuse this is the colour of the school. So therefore this is the house style for the whole newsletter and this shows that it is a Deyes High School letter. The font used within the newsletter is Calibri. This font is also in 14 in size. They have done this as this kind of font can be seen clearly and with it being in size 14 writing it makes it big enough for people to see but not to big that takes over the whole page.

The colours used throughout the newsletter are vibrant and will stand out. This will attract the audience to the newsletter and take a look at it. The yellow heading on the front cover is their so it stands out and dominates the audiences first attention.

The newsletter is also pragmatic as the things talked about within the newsletter will be understood by students, teachers and parents of deyes high school as there is shared understanding between them. Others who read it would need more explanation.

The discourse structure of the newsletter is dominatede by paragraphed text. The text also is very heavy and this could make the reader lose interest and give up on reading on the rest of the news letter.
